Many of our Atomic Cowboy locations are surrounded by boutiques, galleries, museums, and more, allowing you to explore after you grab a bite to eat. Our Golden location, nestled in the Colorado foothills, is among the most convenient spots for browsing, shopping, or experiencing something new. A few of our neighbors worthy of your business include the following:

Woodhouse Day Spa

The Woodhouse Day Spa has the perfect solution if you’re looking for a place to relax, rejuvenate, and refresh. It is located on Cheyenne Street and features an extensive spa menu that includes acupuncture, tissue massage, facials, exfoliation, and manicures. It also offers advanced services through Gua Sha techniques and microcurrent technologies.

Spirits in the Wind Gallery

The Spirits in the Wind Gallery is the quintessential Colorado art adventure. It prides itself on being among the finest Western galleries in the state and showcases an extensive display of New West art by local artists. If you’re in the pottery, sculpture, outdoor art, or home decor market, see what’s in store.

Baby Doe’s Clothing

Named for Baby Doe Tabor, whose rags-to-riches-and-back-to-rags story captivated a nation, Baby Doe’s Clothing is the go-to Golden nugget for handcrafted jewelry, casual and eclectic women’s clothing and artistic works. It’s defined by its ever-changing lineup, which offers a fresh, personal, and fun shopping experience. Stop in during business hours or schedule a private shopping experience for small groups of up to six people.

Golden History Museum and Park

The Golden History Museum and Park is about as “Colorado” as it gets. The museum features displays of the people who built Golden and a focus on local breweries. It’s open Tuesday through Saturday, and admission is always free. The park offers visitors a taste of life during the 1800s. Features include a Native American arbor and a one-room schoolhouse.

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum

The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is one of the most unique museums in the nation. Wrapping visitors in quilt lore, its mission is to “collect, preserve, exhibit, and educate the public about quilts; honor quilt-making traditions; and embrace the evolution of the art and craft of quilting.” While a favorite among quilters and knitters, it proves to be an exciting adventure for folks from all walks of life, even those who can’t thread a needle; it’s full of family heirlooms, historically significant quilts, and cutting-edge, modern-day creations.

Yo Colorado

Yo Colorado sells outdoor gear designed for those who love the adventure afforded by living in Mother Nature’s playground. Focusing on sustainability and thoughtful curation, it sells all sorts of apparel and accessories, from everyday wear to beanies, dog leashes, water bottles, and more.

Coors Brewery

Coors Brewery is well known for its brewery tours, beer sampling, and hospitality lounge. It's not a sporadic adventure, however; reservations are required. These open 25 days in advance and tend to fill up fast.

School of Mines

The School of Mines is worthy of a visit if you have a family member interested in pursuing an education in math, engineering, or science. If not, the football team might be enough to attract your attention anyway. Playing in Division II, the Orediggers are consistently competitive, especially in the past decade.  If you have not seen the School of Mines football team’s head shots, you need to check them out yet. They will make you laugh and rethink your next haircut.
